ESSENIA International seeks villagers for whom ESSENIA'S mission resonates and who are united in creating an examplary holistic health and sustainable community without stifling rules or centralizing "communal" sharing. The general principle upon which ESSENIA functions is "responsible freedom", meaning that everyone must be responsible for his or her basic needs and mistakes and decide what is in her or his best interests. In other words, contrarily to different intentional and eco villages, property is not pooled in the Marxist-Leninist logic: "take according to need and give according to possibility". However, we practice solidarity and friendship based on merit, self help, enlightened selfishness and intuitive compassion. Village residents have the opportunity to share common dinners several times per week in the Common House, and volunteer time on various work teams to keep things running smoothly, including with ad hoc pot lucks, music and other forms of creative happenings.
If the concept of an Essenian Holistic health sustainable village is translated into reality as regards a new type of local production unit, we may post it on the Stock exchange tool on Wall Street, this way, the Essenia International "world-wide spread" will be quicker.
In this perspective, you may be able to help by buying a share of the corporation, in which case you will be a member-owner and have voting power.
Once partners, (see decision making principles) the Essenian eco villagers would pool common knowledge, passions & energies and work enthousiastically to contribute in making the Eco Village a true naturopathic "Lourdes", capable of educating in the direction of healing and helping themselves and Community, to satisfy their basic needs in a sustainable way, from garden work, to workshops, personal development, eco shelter building and eventually, to the production of healthy organic raw energy bars.
But without stress. And without arbitrary authoritarianism.
The key is to adopt the "life" ("heim" in Hebrew) lifestyle. Rigid bones break. Supple ones do not. So we are seeking tolerant, but strong faithed and hard working holistic villagers. But work in the Khalil Gibran sense of the word: "Good work is love made visible".
FOUR TYPES OF MEMBERS.
1. MEMBERS OWNERS.
Members may eventually buy shares of Essenia LLC, under conditions to be defined, either via currency, work or barter. As of now, in the U.S., only a non profit has been established and registered. Each of the other Essenias in other countries have their own particular legal structure that best adapts to the local environment.
If there are monetary shares, they may be non transferable and withdrawable. This means that it will be possible for members of Essenia International to buy shares back from members.
The Eco village may lease the plots to residents using longterm agricultural leasehold agreements. The leaseholds may be conditionally tied to the conditions that may formulate Essenia International's founder and or the Board of Advisors (and eventually the Board of Trustee is Essenia International becomes significant).
We have requested grants from the State and private source. These sources may therefore become partners.

Another fertile way to encourage the development of Essenia International is to encourage WWOOF like exchanges. Wwoof means: World wide opportunities on organic farms, it is a world wide network - It started in the UK in 1971 and has since become an international movement that is helping people share more sustainable ways of living. In return for volunteer help, WWOOF hosts offer food, accommodation and opportunities to learn about organic lifestyles.
